Photos from the camera I built...

The title for this post alone makes me happy... a camera I built. I'm still amazed about that... anyway, here are the photos. I love Leeds in the Autumn, especially around Kirkstall Abbey, its the perfect place to test cameras.

{one of my favourite photos of the abbey yet...}

I have a great feeling about this camera - it's everything a plastic toy camera should be - it's fun, it's experimental, it's unique and it gives some interesting effects. It's easy to do multiple exposures and I love the lens flare. It's light, compact and it feels even better in your hands for knowing how it's constructed and also for the knowledge that it has a missing screw somewhere
(haha, oops, the instructions are fun to decipher...)

You can see the entire set of photos on Flickr here.
(Dad, click there! When you finally read this :p )

Have a great weekend!!

p.s. I think I'm blinking in the girls photos, oops. The perils of analogue photography :)

These photos are amazing and make me question always using my trusty digital slr...maybe a make your own camera will be appearing in my life in the not too distant future.

These pictures are beautiful! Love the blurried edges! I know the feeling when you build your own camera, I've made two pin-holes and just LOVED it! Too bad I still have to finish the rolls in both, I'd love to see the results (if they ever worked) and maybe make a new camera with some old lens - I guess I should just think of finishing those rolls first!

These are awesome! I love the blurry edges. All the little, for lack of a better word, "flaws" really make these stand out. I think the one of the rose, and the one labeled "Photo 15_10A" are my favorites.

These are such gorgeous photos! Reminds me of a moving shot in a movie, capturing the still and some movement with the blur. So gorgeous, and you definitely rock for making a camera! :)
