Leeds Lomo Meet Up - My photos...

Last week I finally treated myself to something I've been waiting to get for years!
An LC-A!!!!!
Unlike the one that I used in Manchester which was the Lomography LC-A+, I ordered the refurbished LC-A as it was a fair bit cheaper which also meant that I could get the Lomokino too, hurray!!

Side note - the majority of this was bought with Lomography piggie points, if you have a lomo/film camera and you enjoy writing, I highly recommend writing some articles and getting those piggies, it takes a while, I had to write about 20 articles to save enough, but it's possible and fun at the same time.

I decided that the Leeds Lomography Xmas Meet Up was the perfect place to try my newest camera and also to try and take more photos of people... it was a mixed result as I was a bit too experimental with the aperture but overall I love the results with this camera already!

{I completely forgot to ask what this camera actually was, its beautiful though!}

  3. Beautiful photos. So glad you got your LC-A, we both have the same camera now! (:
    That camera is amazing. Love any camera with bellows, I'm getting a Polaroid landcamera very soon. Looks like medium format to me. Anyway cannot wait to see more pictures with your LC-A. I have never fiddles with the aperture unless I'm using a flash alongwith.

  6. Eeeek!!! I literally JUST came from the lomography website's LC-A+ page because I'm very very VERY tempted to buy one too!

    I'm very interested to know what your thoughts are about it? Is it better than the wide lens Superheadz? Does it have a focus (it looks so nice and sharp).

  8. The colours and the softness in these photos have come up so lovely. Now I'm back in Australia I need to dig up all my old analogues again and start experimenting. No LC-A, but you've really inspired me to get the film going again.

  10. You got an LC-A, love that camera! That camera in your picture appears to be a large format 4x5 camera. Very popular amongst photojournalists from about the 1940s to the 60s. Definitely on my wishlist
