Leeds through their eyes: Darren aka Pancho Ballard

Saturday was the Lomography Leeds Xmas Meet Up and I was very excited to go and catch up with a few people that I met in Manchester and also to meet new people. I love meeting people!
Especially people who don't think that I'm crazy for having as many cameras as I do, haha.
(although I did get ridiculed for my Christmas jumper)

Although I haven't had any of my films developed yet (gah!), some people already have and I'm excited to be sharing their photos on here. First up is Darren, aka Pancho Ballard.

{how amazing is that camera?!}

Aren't they great? I absolutely love Darren's photos of people, he captures the moment so well and of course I love his photos of Leeds as well. I think sometimes I forget that there is so much to take photos of in Leeds, so it was interesting watching what people were taking photos of on Saturday.

You can see Darren's album of photos on Lomography here.

Photographer: Darren aka Pancho Ballard.
Camera: Minolta XG-M
Film: Ilford HP5 (developed by Darren!)

These photos are used with Darren's permission so please do not reuse them.

oooh a portrait photography person! Unusual on here - how many had people posing in them? the guy in the last photograph at the train (assume the train station?), was he aware and standing still or is Darren a ninja-photographer?

none of these were posing, there wasn't much posing to be honest, there were too many cameras around to pose for everyone lol

the second from last was in the corn exchange and I think that Darren may be a ninja photographer, haha.

Oh- this looks so very fun. It's always so nice to spend time with creative people with common interests.

Beautiful. I have been for some Lomograpy meets here but they are less dynamic. Not that many analog fans here, but it's enriching to even be in the company of the few. Darren's photos leave me speechless. He is really good at taking photos of people! And the architecture as well.
Still, WOW!
Also you look so adorable in that first photo. :)

I love how you have these in black and white, but then offer the colored images with your new camera above! Aaaand there are two "eye candy" images of that amazing camera. :)
