I'm quite taken with the gritty quality of these photos... After trying the black and white film with the La Sardina and my refurbished LC-A, I was very very excited about using this film with my Superheadz Yellow Peace. I'm not really sure why I haven't used it in it before...

After much thought, I've decided that this film is amazing. No matter what camera I've used it in, its produced lovely results. I still adore it in my Diana Mini but I couldn't be happier with the results in other cameras too.

Location: Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Film: Ilford XP2 ISO 400
Camera: Superheadz Yellow Peace

  5. Oh wow! I've just shot my first roll of this in my Diana Mini after seeing your results, I can't wait to get it back! Where do you have your pictures processed?

    1. Hey Susan, I get mine processed at a Max Speilmann shop near to where I work, you can get them scanned to disc for £3/£4 there in 20 minutes and you can get a 10% card as well, which has helped with the cost too. Worth a try if you have one near you I'd say definitely.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Diana Mini results!

    2. that is SUPER cheap! I get my done at snappy snaps and it takes at least an hour and costs £8 for a disc! I needs to move out of London! xo

    3. Yeah there aren't any Max Speilmans there apparently lol. Elle from Everything Reminds Me of You said about westendcameras.co.uk having a £3.99 to disc deal if you mention it from the website though...worth a look

  10. These are really amazing shots Rhianne. The smoke in the first photo really makes the shot. I remember taking a shot of a friend in b/w about 10 years ago lighting another friend's cigarette. It took me about 5 years to notice that the lighter flame was actually lit in the photo and I got so excited x

  11. I may or may not have stared at that first photo for awhile, because I was so taken with it. Black and white usually looks so stark, a little brash and uninviting ... but the brick abode managed to look cozy in that photo. (Perhaps because of the smoke?) ;)

Also, to me, anyway, swans always look angry.

  12. I really should experiment with black and white with my superheadz. These photos are amazing, I especially like the third one down. I would say it was a populating success, I like how the how the line of people are stretch out along the river.
