Shades of turquoise...

Remember my confession of love for this Agfa film yesterday... well here are more reasons why I really love that turquoise shift and also, another confession of love for my Superheadz camera... I knew it could produce beautiful vignetting, but this film has taken that aspect and really made it special.

Compared to yesterday's photos, for some reason these doubles only seem to show hints of Davide's exposure and my photos of Wells and Harry (who I'm seeing Sunday, woo) are really prominent but I love the subtleness of layering this produces.



One of my favourite things about film is that there are so many options before you even take photos, its easy to stick with camera/film combinations but these photos remind me that I need to try as many different films as I can.

Lomo lovers film swap... the first set

Over the past couple of months I've been taking photos as part of the Lomo Lovers film swap.

(which reminds me, I need to do mine again soon right?)

I was partnered with Davide and these photos are from the roll of Agfa CT Precisa 100 (which I cross processed) that Davide originally took in Italy(!) with his LC-A+ and then I doubled with my Superheadz Wide and Slim. What do you think of our results?


Even though some of the shots aren't lined up I still really like them.
I was a bit dubious of green shades with cross processing after using the Lomography Xpro, but this Agfa film has a more turquoise shift rather than green and I love the shades of yellow it produces.
I think I definitely need to buy some more of this film soon.

When Ada came to visit...

Not too long ago, Ada the globetrotting doll came to Leeds for a visit and I took some photos of her with my Superheadz Yellow Peace camera.

Ah Paris...

Just this week, Diana, Amanda and Morgan and Kim have all shared film photos from Paris... and its been great to see them and remeber, I miss it so much! So I thought I'd share a few more photos that I haven't on here, it's been a while and I want some colour and sunshine.

(Anyone else feeling remarkably uninspired by the dreary weather, where is Spring?!)

The Vivitar Ghost...

I've blogged before about the unexpected surprises that I've had from my Superheadz Slim and Wide... and now I know that this occurance has a name... the 'Vivitar Ghost!' isn't that cool!(Thanks Adam)

I think I've finally figured out what causes this as well... the wrist strap!

Though of course not directly, but without the wrist strap, I wouldn't carry this camera around the way that I do, it wouldn't swing around all the time whilst I'm carrying it and that wouldn't move the shutter just a little bit to expose the film with streaks...
It makes sense when you think about it.

The above photo was an experiment to see if swinging it around would actually cause this to happen and if anything I think the experiement went too well as I've managed to overexpose the frame rather than streak it... oops. But still, it's so exciting!

I think I'm going to have to experiment further and see what happens...

I love film!!!

Canal details...

Yesterday I dropped off 6 films to be developed and I am EXCITED, so I thought now would be the best time to round off the photos from our little walk along the canal with my little yellow superheadz camera. I'm still amazed by how this Ilford film is capturing my analogue heart... I need more already!



Also, just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who left my Mum a birthday comment, I loved reading them. I actually have no idea if she's seen them yet though lol, I'll get on that.

I love photos of Horses...

{I was a little sad about this one, as it looked so thin... but I didn't want to ignore it, it seemed worse somehow}



We saw quite a lot of horses on our walk along the canal and I couldn't help but take photos of them.
I was really happy with the reflection in the last photo... especially as it didn't start drinking until we were stood right in front of it.

More black and white film love...

I'm quite taken with the gritty quality of these photos... After trying the black and white film with the La Sardina and my refurbished LC-A, I was very very excited about using this film with my Superheadz Yellow Peace. I'm not really sure why I haven't used it in it before...

After much thought, I've decided that this film is amazing. No matter what camera I've used it in, its produced lovely results. I still adore it in my Diana Mini but I couldn't be happier with the results in other cameras too.
