A little catch up...

Last week was crazy busy... this morning was crazy busy. 

In fact I've only just relaxed and finally had time to pull a blog post together.

I have so much to catch up on, argh! 

I spent Saturday morning trying to relax and looking through Flickr and catching up with Photo Meditations.
and I am hooked.
So far I am loving this course, I even created a gallery of my favourite inspirations at the moment on Flickr. I've never used Flickr like that before, so it was very fun to do and so amazing to see photos that I really loved.

I just want to go out with my camera now... shame it's getting dark already.

p.s. this post is a bit messy but I just wanted to get something out there,

p.p.s. I've fallen in love with this photo again, I remember thinking the sky was pretty when I took it against the silhouette of the person but I actually love the dramatic lines at the bottom of the photo now too.

The last of my first black and white roll...

I seriously adore this whole roll of film. In fact I can't think of any other time when I've been so happy with a roll of film. I've definitely been converted to black and white film in the diana mini... they just work so well together.

I love the last photo. In fact I love them all, I can't actually believe just how excited I am about them.

I didn't add all of the roll here (though it was tempting but I didn't want to desaturate* my blog with so many photos) but it is on Flickr if you want to see them all together.

Anyway, its the weekend, hurray and the sun is actually shining here in Leeds, I really hope it lasts! I might even wear a dress tomorrow...

Overexposed Liverpool Architecture

What can I say... I like looking up at buildings...

and the buildings in Liverpool were gorgeous!

I didn't expect the Ilford XP2 film to be as sensitive as it was, in fact I'm not sure I had even used an ISO 400 film before, so this film has been a bit of a learning curve for me but I must admit, I love these!

My first shadow shot Sunday...

It's Sunday and I'm posting, a rare occasion... however I saw some perfect opportunities to take part in Shadow Shot Sunday over on Hey Harriet whilst we were in Liverpool, so here we are!

We were both taking this photo of our shadows at the 'Peace and Harmony' Memorial for John Lennon at the same time, I love it! Happy shadow shot Sunday :)

Liverpool is all about The Beatles!

I love The Beatles and I loved finding out more about them whilst we were in Liverpool. The Beatles Story was really interesting and great value I thought for everything that we saw and it was fun to find The Cavern Club, have my photo taken with John Lennon (the only one thing that I really wanted to do in Liverpool lol) and to find statues of them all on buildings...

My first black and white film!

I actually can't believe it's taken me this long to share these photos but I do tend to get over excited about new camera's and film so I guess its ok...

Whilst we did spend most of our week off at home, we spent the Monday and Tuesday in Liverpool. It was so great to spend a couple of days together without worrying about anything other than where we were going to eat (which we like to talk about anyway...) and enjoying a new city.
