Spring in Leeds...

I was hoping to have some colour photos to share with you today but my usual photo lab wouldn't cross process my slide film for me yesterday (cue panic and sadness from me) but hopefully I should get that film developed soon and I'll have some colour on here!

I did however get another diana mini, black and white roll developed yesterday, finally and I don't think you'll mind these photos so much. I'm completely smitten with them myself.

Honestly, I think that last photo may be my favourite that I've ever taken!

Funny story - I went to take that photo and Thomas moved his hand in to touch the blossom and I thought - urgh, he always gets in the way of my photos - then I realised that actually it was beautiful just as he moved his hand away, so I bullied him into doing again haha and managed to actually get a rather amazing photo... So there you go, sometimes it's ok to restage photos and sometimes it's ok to let your boyfriends into your photos.

p.s. Happy Birthday Grandad!!! I would have written you a whole post but its not your big birthday until next year and I might have something fun already planned for that :) I hope you have a great day, I love you x

12 for 2012 - Camera 3

As part of my 'take more photos' goal for this year - I decided that I wanted to use more of the cameras that I haven't actually used before in my collection.

I'll admit that March's camera nearly didn't happen... I had an idea to use one of my unused 35mm cameras, but the month flew by and it got to last weekend and I realised... oops, it's 31st of March.
Luckily for me, earlier in March the Impossible Project film and polaroid camera that I won from One Pearl Button arrived (Thank you so much again Alli!) and I decided that March was the month to try it!

Rather than using the camera that arrived with the film (I think I'll pop the B&W film in there) I decided to try out the first polaroid camera that Thomas found for me in 2009, I remember being so excited about it at the time so it seems unbelievable to me that I still haven't used it...

Overall, I'm undecided on these photos... I love polaroids but I think that I love other photographers polaroid results more than I ever like my own. How do they do it?! These results to me look really green (and I'm not a fan of green in photos) and I am still disappointed by the undeveloped patches (apparently a known problem to The Impossible Project but still...) especially in that last photo, there should have been a beautiful blossom tree there.

Perhaps I'll get the hang of them eventually. Or perhaps I'll leave it to the more patient experts...

Spring = colour!

Although I haven't been taking many photos lately... I have tried to capture as much of Spring as I can on my phone. I just love the yellow trees that are dotted around at the moment.

This weekend I intend to take some photos and finish the two rolls in my cameras since February. Yup.

Have a great weekend!!

p.s. Thank you so much to everyone who left a comment yesterday, it meant a lot to me, I'll reply when I can read them all without tearing up and feeling incredibly grateful that you all didn't think I was crazy/attention seeking/crazy...

Meanwood Urban Farm...

It seems a little silly that I'm posting these now as our visit was over two months ago... but here we are.

I'm beginning to think that this day of sunshine (in April remember!) may have been the best weather that we've had this year which is hugely despressing. Summer has definitely not come to England and honestly its starting to bring me down a little. I'm fed up of wearing my coat and worrying about whether my feet will get wet everyday.

Looking at these little lambs faces is cheering me up though...

I'm also a fan of the lone sheep and the rabbits.

p.s. lack of sun = no photo taking = grumpy Rhianne.

I love Spring...

DSC06297DSC06347Spring 2DSC06323DSC06314Spring 1DSC06321DSC06362

This weekend was amazing!!

The sun was shining, so on Saturday we went to Meanwood Valley Urban Farm where we saw lots of adorable lambs and piglets. I love sheep and lambs are my favourite!

Even though I did take my mini (see evidence above...) we also played with our Sony H7 and I will admit - it's growing on me. Though the fuji mini photos are still my favourites from the day... obviously.

We also, had an amazing pub lunch, spent the evening in a beer garden with friends, gots loads of washing done (I love having a garden with a clothes line!) sat out in the garden a lot, bought the prettiest bunch of flowers ever, finally ordered some take away dumplings, caught up with last weeks TV and chilled out... amazing!

Phone photos...

My phone is slowly dying... it makes me sad. So I'm slowly backing up all the photos that I've taken with it lately. These are my favourites at the moment!

Doesn't our path look pretty! I've been anxiously waiting for all the bulbs that we planted to flower and there they are, hurray! We just put seeds down for the Summer too, I hope they come up as well! Also I love when the daffodils are out around the Abbey too... and Harry's little face.

Happy weekend!!

p.s. you'd only get graffiti that looks like it says tea in England right? Haha.

First fuji instax wide photos - Spring in Norfolk

Tuesday, 2 March 2010

Hello Spring...

Even though it has been 6 months since my Hello Autumn... post this Winter felt so much longer... I was beginning to think we were never going to make it to Spring!

I think its finally here though!

I can't wait: to not have to wear a pair of boots or wellies just to walk into work, see some lambs skipping in fields, have a vase of daffodils in the house, go for a evening walk and take some gorgeous pictures in the Spring sunshine.

p.s. please forgive the rather blurry diana mini spring morning photo above,
it was such a great picture in my head that I still love it...
