Forgotten Photos: Bempton Cliffs

Again this is a place that I have posted about before: Bempton Cliffs. However, I failed to mention before was that I had more than one camera with me (of course...) so here are the photos from Bempton Cliffs taken with my Yashica Autofocus.

Forgotten Photos: Krakow Town Hall

I've been checking through my Flickr (It's my favourite self indulgent hobby) and I realised that over 100 photos from Krakow weren't on there! So here are some forgotten photos with my two yashica cameras from the top of Krakow Town Hall.

It still amuses me that the photo of me really didn't work out but the light is pretty anyway...
It really doesn't feel like that long since we were there.

Luckily this weekend I took two rolls of film, so hopefully my blog mojo will come back with some new photos - anyone else suffering from blogger blues at the moment? Is it the time of the year?

Cameras: Yashica Autofocus and Yashica Samurai

Unshared Scarborough photos...

Photo16_13APhoto19_16APhoto12_9APhoto17_14A

I ended up triple checking my blog to make sure these weren't already on here as I couldn't believe I hadn't shared them before... I love Scarborough! Also everytime I look at photos from my yashica autofocus, it makes me wish I used it more...

Krakow: The Salt Mine

Just outside Krakow (a slightly terrifying bus journey away) is one of Poland's most popular tourist attractions - The Wieliczka Salt Mine. The mine was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and if you ever go to Krakow, I highly recommend that you visit it- although you do start the tour by going down around 300 steps...

The tour consists of over 30 chambers, going as deep as 135m underground including chapels, chandeliers and statues completely carved of rock salt. There was also a restaurant at the end (where you could get a phone signal?!) and if you wanted to look around - a museum about the mine. We went to the museum and again, if you have the time and the energy, I highly recommend that as well - it was fascinating to see and learn more about the history of the mine and how the workers used to live down there.

I'm going to gush a little here but boy did our Yashica Autofocus do well in the mines! My phone camera seriously stuggled with the lack of light and I was a little worried that the film camera would struggle too however, its photos turned out much better than my digital ones
(though still not perfect...)

I'm just glad that we had something to share with everyone from it, as it was amazing!!

p.s. Sorry for the blog silence yesterday, I spent the day in bed with a migraine :(

p.p.s. Migraines suck!

Thomas takes amazing photos!

As part of the photo swap, Thomas sent his photos to the lovely Allyn from All Things Ami and these were the result. I'm so delighted they turned out as last year his film disappeared which he was disappointed with...

I'm definitely making him take the Yashica Autofocus to Poland with us, I love his photos and that camera is a dream...

You can see the rest of his photos here and nearly 700 more in the flickr group, its my new favourite distraction!

p.s. eep, I love him, just thought I should say :)

Too much fun with clipart...

A few weeks ago I mentioned that Katrina had some free wasabi tape clipart on her blog and now not only does she have that but she also has some cute tags, more fun tape and this amazing paper buffet selection of clipart. Katrina is officially amazing!!

As soon as I saw the new additions I knew I had to play with them and I can honestly say that I had far too much fun putting this together (it's my first digital scrapbook page!) It also provided the perfect opportunity for me to pull together some random fujis and photos that I've been dying to post but I wasn't really to sure how...

For all of Katrina's freebie, click here and if you haven't had enough of lovely tags, bags and doilies, check out her amazing shop on etsy as well...

p.s. the bike photo is for Amy!

p.p.s. I used a program called Paint Net instead of photoshop to put this together, its a bit simpler but its free!

Little letters...

{Photo taken in Scarborough with my Yashica Autofocus, I heart that camera}

Dear little blog,
Its odd to think that when we started we were both completely different. It's just a shame I'm stuck in the same job and it frustrates me. But you are still my haven and even though I'm feeling a little lost, I am going to pull it together and you will be my happy place again.

Dear Sunshine,
You make me happy but where is the warmth?
I want to wear my shorts (yes, I have shorts!!) and finally wear my yellow tights.

Dear poloroid camera,
After all the letters and the waiting - I'm afraid that we don't really get on as well as I had hoped... part of me is a little sad but the other is really happy that I seem to have found my medium in 35mm film and that I can enjoy looking at other peoples polaroids appreciating how incredible their work really is!

Dear fuji instax,
Don't worry I still adore you... we get along just fine.

Dear buses,
You seem to be running on time recently, I can't decide whether to be happy or suspicious.

Dear cookies,
It seems out of all the sugary foods that I miss you the most.
I'm worried now though that the next one I have won't live up to my expectations....

Dear negativity,
You creep up on me when I least expect it and you are starting to annoy me.

Dear self imposed blog rules,
I might start ignoring some of you soon, just to see what happens!

Dear moleskines,
All of a sudden I want to write and draw in you...
I just need to buy one first.
Do they come in yellow?!
