Moo cows...

Haha, I tried to think of a better title but nothing came to me... so I'm sticking with it.
I have no shame.

The weather was glorious last week and I think even these friendly and inquisitive cows were enjoying it too.

Tomorrow is the beginning of a long Bank Holiday weekend and then we also have the rest of the week off too - I'm so excited, I can't wait to spend the week with Thomas relaxing (this year has been hectic so far) and hopefully taking lots of pictures with my new and old cameras. I'll have some posts scheduled though don't worry - I still have lots to catch up on if you can believe that :)

Have a great weekend!!

Pink and blue...

After all the rain and dullness over the past two weeks (I guess the weather didn't get my message about sunshine...) these photos make me so incredibly happy.

I hope they've made your day a bit happier too!

p.s. Thomas and I have a guest to entertain this weekend, we're taking her to the beach.
It will more than likely rain but at least she's getting a real English beach experience haha.

Finally!!!

Instagram is on Android!!

You would think that as a film photographer I wouldn't be as excited about this as I am...
but I am excited!!
I can't always carry a film camera around with me, whilst I always have my phone and a lot of the time English weather is pants, so the conditions aren't always right for film photography.
And I do like to share my photos...

Take this morning... it's snowed. In April!!! APRIL!!
Once again I have two pairs of thick socks on, lots of layers and my wellies are my best friend.
Not cool weather. Though, the photos are pretty, I will admit that and playing with new filters is fun too.

So if you're on Instagram, leave a comment with your username - lets be friends!
Mine is:  Forthedistractd

p.s. there will be #harrygram!

More snow...

Looking at yesterday's photos with this camera, I don't think they actually do it any justice... especially when you compare them with these photos in the snow on my way to work.
Photo19_19Photo20_20Photo21_21Photo22_22Photo24_24 Photo32_32Photo23_23Photo25_25Photo36_36

When I first looked at these results I wasn't too thrilled with them, and to be fair there are a few stinkers in the roll (you can see the entire roll here), but the good photos are really good I think and perhaps I've underestimated this little cameras abilities.

I can't wait to use this camera again when its sunny as I think the results then could be absolutely stunning!

Camera: Exacta 135
Film: Kodak Elite Chrome ISO 100 - I need to stock up on this!
Location: Walking to work (again) in the snow.

More walking to work...

I actually can't remember the last time that I had to finish off so many rolls of film on my way to work - I didn't realise that I had taken so many photos recently but I must have done... hurray!

These first two were taken with my refurbished LC-A and kodak 200 film, I love the definition...

But, the following photos were taken with my holga 135bc using Lomography's CN 800 film
... can you believe those colours?! I'm blown away!

It's funny as before Photo Meditations I used to be quite reluctant of taking photos of the same thing but now I could take photos on my walk to work everyday if I'm honest, it's mostly the one time of the day where I'm completely on my own and although its only 10 minutes tops, its just what I need to start my day, especially if I have a camera with me and the sky looks like these!

Cameras: Refurbished LC-A and holga 135bc
Film: Kodak ISO 200 and Lomography CN 800
Location: Leeds.

My first Lomokino video!!

Are you excited?! I am!
In fact, I'm also incredibly glad that I bought this camera, it's so fun!

As I wasn't able to get to Kirkstall Abbey in the daylight, I ended up filming one of my first Lomokino rolls walking to work... the sun has been beautiful in the morning lately creating gorgeous colours in the sky and I'm really glad that the Lomokino managed to capture that, even if the results are a little grainy.

Enjoy!

Photo Meditation photos...

I took these during week 1 of Photo Meditations. Every day I walk the same way to work and I have taken a lot of photos of the route but this time I tried to implement what we had been taught that week and see it a bit differently. I'm really happy with the results.

The colours and light this day were so lovely and I loved how the wire seemed to follow the line of the fields so well.

Autumn for Adele...

I have so many photos of my walk to work (see here, here, here and here for a few) but I can honestly say I never get bored of taking photos of it - it changes with each day and I love seeing how the seasons affect it. Isn't the Autumn light just beautiful in these too?

Happy weekend!
I'm off to Belfast with my girls, frock and cameras, which should be great fun!
See you next week.

p.s. I have no idea why the shadow looks so huge in the bottom left photo, or even what was next to me? I like to pretend its because I'm standing with Hagrid though, haha. Nerd.
